About us
Mawadda is an Arabic word meaning actionable steps to build deep love, affection, and compassion, often used in the context of strong, nurturing relationships.
At Mawadda Therapy, we embrace this concept by fostering connection, healing, and understanding in individuals, couples, and families. Our approach integrates warmth, empathy, and cultural awareness to support you through life’s challenges with guidance and care.

L.M.F.T.A. Lujane Helwani
I've lived on multiple continents and embraced the beauty of diverse cultural customs, learning firsthand the power of inclusivity. I wanted to create a space where people of all backgrounds, situations, relationship dynamics, and faiths—or none at all—feel truly welcome and understood.
That's why I founded Mawadda Therapy—to help individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and relationship complexities with warmth, humor, and respect. I believe in creating a space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. Together, we’ll tap into your strengths and resources to improve your quality of life and relationships.
Outside of therapy, I love nature, TED Talks, crocheting, and playing way too many games on my phone. My hope is to be a light that shines—brightly but gently—during times of need!

Verse[49:13]: O mankind, We have created you all out of a male and a female, and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of Him. Behold, God is all-knowing, all-aware.
Verse [30:21]: And of His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, so that you may find tranquility in them; and He planted love and compassion between you. In this are signs for people who reflect.
